Ontario Premier Doug Ford warns he won't hesitate to cut power supplies to
the US if necessary. Ontario supplies electricity to Minnesota, New York, and
Michigan. The number of people to be affected by this rise in price stands at
around 1.5 million.
"If the United States escalates, I will not hesitate to shut the electricity
off completely. Believe me when I say I do not want to do this," he told CNBC
on Tuesday.
Earlier, Trump said he was raising tariffs on all steel and aluminum coming
into the US from Canada to 50% from 25%.
